Creativity, plants, and fun—one theme at a time!

We believe learning about plants should be hands-on, fun, and full of imagination! That’s why we’ve created a special monthly workshop series just for kids (but grown-ups can join too!).

Each month, we explore a brand-new theme—from dinosaur jungles to sparkling holiday ornaments. Kids get to use real plants, cool materials like moss, sand, and googly eyes, and go home with their very own living creation. No two workshops are the same!

We’ll teach a little bit about plant care, but the main focus is on creativity and fun. Whether it’s their first time or they’ve been before, kids will always have something new to build and take home.

Skulls & Succulents
October Workshop

Get into the Halloween spirit with our spooky-fun Skulls & Succulents workshop! Each participant will choose a colourful 3" Sugar Skull pot and plant it with two assorted succulents. We’ll add moss, gravel, and all kinds of Halloween extras—mini pumpkins, ghosts, creepy crawlies, and more—to create a planter that’s both spooky and cute.

It’s a hands-on, festive activity and the perfect way to celebrate the season. Costumes are welcome! 👻

Cozy Critter Garden
November Workshop

Celebrate the magic of autumn with our woodland-themed Cozy Critter Garden! In this workshop, kids will create their own mini forest scene using a 4" x 4" wooden box, 3 assorted succulents, decorative sands and stones, and a cute woodland animal figurine (fox, hedgehog, or owl). Perfect for young gardeners who love plants and forest creatures alike!

If you can’t make it to a workshop—no problem! While we can’t offer refunds, you’ll get store credit to use anytime at Foliage.

We need at least three participants for each workshop to run. If we don’t have enough sign-ups, we’ll reach out to reschedule or make a new plan together. Thanks so much for understanding!
