Create Your Own Moss-Bound Plant
Join us for a hands-on, one-hour Kokedama Workshop where you’ll create your very own Japanese moss ball plant—an elegant, minimalist way to display greenery in your home. Kokedama, which translates to “moss ball,” originated in Japan as part of the centuries-old bonsai tradition. Over time, it evolved into a modern art form celebrated for its sculptural beauty and natural simplicity.
During the workshop, you’ll select a plant from our curated collection and use our provided materials, including specialty soil, moss, twine, and shaping tools. You’ll learn the proper soil blend, how to form and secure the moss ball, and how to style your finished piece. We’ll also cover easy care instructions so you can keep your Kokedama thriving at home.
Led by Cheryl, owner of Foliage, this class is creative, relaxing, and beginner-friendly—perfect for trying something new or creating a thoughtful handmade gift.
