Shipping Policy

Shipping Overview

We proudly ship across Canada using trusted carriers including Canada Post, UPS, and Purolator. Carrier selection is determined at our discretion based on the best balance of cost, reliability, and delivery speed.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a tracking number to follow your package every step of the way. If you have specific shipping requests (such as delaying shipment or coordinating delivery timing), please include them at the time of ordering and we will do our best to accommodate.

In some cases, if shipping costs exceed standard rates, we will contact you for approval prior to proceeding.

Shipping Schedule & Timing

Orders typically ship within 5–15 business days. To help ensure plants are not held in transit over weekends, we ship on Mondays and Tuesdays.  Delivery times may vary based on destination and carrier conditions.

Cold Weather & Seasonal Shipping Delays

Your plants’ safety is our top priority. During colder months, we may temporarily hold shipments if temperatures along the delivery route are too low or conditions are unsafe for live plant transit. Orders are shipped as soon as conditions allow, and we closely monitor weather forecasts to minimize delays.

To help protect your plants during winter shipping, complimentary heat packs are included when necessary. We recommend ensuring someone is available to receive your package promptly upon delivery to avoid exposure to extreme temperatures.

While we take every precaution to ship safely, delays due to weather conditions or carrier disruptions may occur.

Shipping Costs

Shipping rates are calculated based on destination and order size:

  • Ontario: $25
  • Quebec: $35
  • Rest of Canada: $40

Additional charges may apply for remote locations or oversized orders. If this occurs, we will always contact you for approval before shipping.

Plant Care After Delivery

Plants may experience some stress during transit and may appear slightly different upon arrival. This is completely normal. With proper light and watering, most plants will acclimate within a short period of time.

We recommend waiting at least two weeks before repotting or fertilizing to allow your plant to adjust to its new environment.

If your plant arrives in poor condition, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photos so we can assess and assist you appropriately.

General Conditions

We take great care in packaging every order to ensure your plants arrive safely and in excellent condition. However, once an order leaves our facility, Foliage is not responsible for carrier delays, weather-related damage, or handling issues during transit.

Foliage reserves the right to modify this shipping policy at any time without prior notice. Please refer to this page for the most up-to-date information.
